Low-slope and flat sections
Porch roofs, additions and dormers often sit at a pitch too shallow for shingles. We install membrane systems on those sections as part of the replacement.
Skylights
As a VELUX® Certified Installer, we replace or add skylights while the roof is open. This is the least expensive time to do it and the only way to warranty the flashing with the roof.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Can you install new shingles directly over the old ones?
Ohio code allows two layers on most residential structures, so a layover is sometimes possible. However, we recommend against it. Covering old shingles hides decking damage, shortens the life of the new roof and rules out extended manufacturer coverage.
What time of year is best to replace a roof in Ohio?
Spring through fall gives the most reliable installation weather, since asphalt shingles need moderate temperatures to seal. We recommend against a planned winter install unless the roof is an emergency. Fall books up fastest here, so call early for that window.
How do I know when my roof needs replacing?
Age is the strongest signal. An asphalt roof installed 20 or more years ago is near the end of its rated life. Granules collecting in the gutters, shingles curling at the edges and daylight visible through the attic boards all point the same direction.
Do I need to be home during the replacement?
No. Most homeowners are at work while the crew is on the roof. We ask that you move vehicles out of the driveway and let us know about anything fragile near the house.
