Every year, we grow and explore new ways to make a positive impact in our community and beyond. We couldn’t do it without our amazing clients – a huge thank you for making KangaCares possible!

Hopping Into Action

KangaCares takes many forms. Here are some highlights of our past contributions:

Africa Missions

Vice-President of KangaRoof Jacob Brandstetter is on the board of His Great Love Ministries who have been going to the DRC in Africa for almost 2 decades. The goal of these missions is to reach an indigenous people known as Forest People (Pygmis) with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In our most recent trips, we have also pulled families out of slavery and relocated them to start new tribes further in the forests where they are able to thrive.

We do not want to bring western civilization to the DRC, but we would rather spread the love of Christ and make known the freedom that comes with giving your life. No matter where we live or the circumstances that we are faced with in this life, we can have peace if we would learn how to die to ourselves and live in the peace that passes all understanding promised to all of us through the scripture. Our mission is to live out the Great Commission, we go to bring understanding through the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Harvester Farm to Table Restaurant

The Harvester Restaurant was birthed out of His Great Love Ministries (HGLM) as a front to bring money in for Africa Missions, but also to serve the needs right here at home. Founded by HGLM President Dwayne Davidson. The vision for the Harvester is to feed the community of Blanchester OH and turn a profit, of which 100% goes straight back into the community for: the widows, single moms, homeless & anyone in need that the Lord brings our way.

The Harvester serves only locally raised products aiming to provide healthy food to those in need. We don’t just want to provide second hand food, but we want to teach the community about healthy living.

The Harvester has many programs that feed the community in times of need including: Pay it forward meals; Saturday Free dinner and worship service; Food trailer donation for special events, plus all tips are donated to a different family in need every month.

KangaRoof is a large monthly donator to the Harvester Farm to Table Restaurant.

Associates Choice Monthly Charity Donation

Every Month KangaRoof nominates one of it’s employees as the employee of the month. Here at KangaRoof, we do something a little different for our employee of the month. It’s nice to get recognized in your position for your hard work and dedication, that’s one of the reasons we pick an employee of the month. The other reason is, we want to cultivate a culture of giving and we want everyone to have the chance to be involved. When you get employee of the month, you get the honor to pick a charity of your choice and hand deliver a $1,000 check from KangaRoof.

PCT (employee Paid Charity Time)

You have heard of PTO right? Well, what about PCT? Here at KangaRoof, our desire is not to just be a good home exterior company, but we strive to be a great internal company cultivating growth within our team and giving back to the community at the same time. We want to make an impact wherever we go and people are the greatest things we can impact. Every year, all employees at KangaRoof are given 2 Paid Charity Days where they can spend a regular working day giving their time at a charity of their choice and still get paid their standard daily wage. That’s what PCT is! Paid Charity Time.

Veteran's & Back the Blue Giveaway

KangaRoof is a veteran owned company with a heart to serve veterans. We started years ago giving free roofs to veterans every year. After years of doing this, we realized that there are community servants right in our backyard that deserve our thanks as well and that’s when we added the Back The Blue giveaway. Now, KangaRoof gives at minimum, 2 roofs every year: one for a veteran and another for a police officer.

Thanksgiving Baskets

The holidays can be a stressful time for many people who find it hard to provide a large Thanksgiving meal for their family. KangaRoof helps by providing dozens of basket meals for families in need every Thanksgiving. This is accomplished by everyone coming together at KangaRoof. Individual members of the Kanga team purchase a list of items for a Thanksgiving meal and Kanga provides the turkeys. In this way, everyone is involved and baskets are delivered 2-3 days prior to Thanksgiving.

Cincinnati Food Drive

Many don’t realize this because we are in our cozy homes with our families eating Christmas dinner, but there are many individuals out on the streets that are not so fortunate as others. We understand that it is not our place to judge anyone, but it is our job to love all and serve as Christ. In this vein, we at Kanga do a food drive to feed the homeless every year on Christmas Eve. The Kanga team comes together early Christmas Eve to cook turkeys and put together dozens of to-go box meals that we hand deliver all over the Cincinnati area later that day on Christmas Eve.

Running with Wings

Running With Wings, Founded by Jason & Cheryl Carmack was birthed after their daughter Payton tragically drowned at a memorial day party when she was 3 years old.

The organizations initial focus is that they want to help raise funds to create financial scholarships for parents and families who would like to put their child through survival swim lessons. They also aim to bring awareness to families with younger children.

KangaRoof is one of many supporters of Running With Wings. Many members of the Kanga team also participate in a benefit race that Running With Wings puts on every September.
