CertainTeed Landmark Pro Roof Replacement in Cincinnati, OH

In September 2026, Brandstetter’s KangaRoof replaced an aging roof system on a Cincinnati, Ohio home with CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles in Max Def Driftwood. The KangaCrew also added turbine vents to keep air moving through the attic. The homeowner now has a new 2,200-square-foot asphalt shingle roof with ventilation built into the job.

What the KangaCrew Installed

The crew replaced the old roof system with CertainTeed Landmark Pro, an architectural shingle. Architectural (or dimensional) shingles are built from two laminated layers, which gives the roof depth and a look closer to wood shake than flat three-tab shingles. CertainTeed makes Landmark Pro thicker and heavier than its standard Landmark shingle. The color, Max Def Driftwood, comes from CertainTeed’s Max Def color line.

KangaRoof partners with CertainTeed, and its roofers are trained and certified to follow CertainTeed’s Integrity Roof System specifications.

To ventilate the attic, the KangaCrew installed turbine vents. A turbine vent sits on the roof with a spinning, finned head. As the wind turns it, the turbine draws hot, moist attic air up and out of the house.

Why Ventilation Belongs in a Roof Replacement

Shingles and roof decking hold up better when the attic beneath them can breathe. Summer heat trapped in a closed attic bakes shingles from below, and winter moisture can condense on the underside of the roof. A replacement is a practical time to add ventilation, since the crew is already working across the whole roof and can install vents as part of the same project.
